Just getting to my laptop for the first time in a few days (taking a quasi tech break).
There’s a woot-off going on right now. Have a go at finding a great deal!
From the woot.com page:
I see some orange flashing lights on the main page — what do they mean?
No, you aren’t seeing a side effect from your allergy medication. You have found a Woot-Off, a short term frenzied mutation of our product posting procedure. In Woot-Off mode, a new product is launched immediately after the sellout of the previous deal. There is a half-Woot-life of 12 hours maximum on any product within a Woot-Off that does not sell out. The number of Woot-Off items, sequence and quantity will not be announced. When Woot-Off mode is over, the orange lights will disappear and our normal schedule will resume. Depending on its success, this may be a mode we would go into once or twice a month for a relatively short duration of time (24-72 hours generally).
The Flight Deal listed a couple of good fares out of Newark yesterday to some tropical destinations. Both of these are under $300. Great way to get away.
I switched to the New Balance Minimus line last year and haven’t looked back. These are great for lifting in as well as running. Nike’s don’t fit my feet well, and I’m a New Balance believer. They always fit great and last.
The Men’s 10v2 shoes are on sale today only for $39.99 + $6.95 shipping. Get them here.
Get them while you can – they’re going for ~$100 on Amazon.

Brooks Brothers is having their semi-annual sale from 6/20 – 7/3. There are usually some good deals in there, so keep an eye out.
Don’t forget about the 15% corporate discount and 2.5% cash back at ebates. Not sure if the corporate discount will stack, but you should have no problems with the 2.5% cash back.
I recently closed on a new house, and one of the things I was/am most looking forward to is hooking it up with gadgets. “I want everything in my house controlled by my phone” has been my mantra.
Top of the list is the Nest thermostat and Nest Protect. Originally priced at $129, Nest Protect looked awesome. However, Nest decided to relaunch it to remove a feature that was malfunctioning. You can pre-order new version for $99. Amazon Prime gets you free shipping.
Or you can order it at Nest.com and watch the video, which is pretty awesome.
TO MAKE THIS DEAL SWEETER…
There is a $33 credit if you’ve previously ordered a Nest Protect.
Staples has some 24-pack Keurig k-cups for $8.61 with free shipping.
$12.99 – 2+ discount – coupon code – 2% cash back = $8.61
In-store only and works for HE and non-HE detergent.
Total if you complete all 4 steps is $13.99.
Great for kids. We used to fly these around my office all the time. I’ve had 3 of these exact models. Incredible fun for not a lot of money.
Syma S107G 3 Channel RC Helicopter with Gyro, Green

3-color garage parking sensor let’s you move your car into the ideal parking position each time you park. Changes color as you get closer to sensor. 3 simple steps to safer parking. Easy to use & easy to install.
Easy to get this one.
Amazon has it for $10 without the rebate, and it qualifies for Amazon Prime, if you want to save the gas and hassle of filling out a rebate form.
Starting this Sunday at Staples, if you buy a $300 Visa gift card, you’ll get a $20 Visa prepaid card back via a Staples Easy Reward.
This is good for churning money on a credit card, as the $20 you get back wipes out the fees on the gift card.
This probably won’t last long, and I haven’t played with the various permutations. I’m also too lazy right now to fully investigate, but it looks like CheapOair isn’t applying the fuel surcharge. Fuel dumps FTW!
The lowest fare ITA Matrix is showing is $974.
The fuel surcharge is $516 of that price.
However, you can book this on CheapOair for $460.
Hope someone can take advantage!
Dan’s Deals has a good deal on a Panasonic NI-L70SRW cordless iron.
The iron gets 4/5 stars on Amazon and costs $79.99 there.

This is a truly amazing post on SlickDeals about how to get a TON of Kobalt tools from Lowes for $200. There are step by step instructions in the thread.

I live for deals like these.
This is a lukewarm deal (NYC-ANC would dip under $400 frequently last year), but I haven’t seen a good fare to Alaska in a while.
$420 round trip, all in, on Delta. I just checked and availability is wide open in September. Wide open as in available every single day from the 7th on.

My family is heading down to Brazil for the World Cup, and I’d rather not bring our huge DSLR for a variety of reasons. I was looking for a cheap, decent, small digital camera at a good price.
I found this:
